There is a spot at AMS which alongside Taxiway Q where the barrier from landside to airside is…….just a stream! This makes for a great spot to get close up to planes departing along here towards the runway. Just about all the cargo planes taxi this way (AMS has quite a lot of cargo) and also planes from the nearby gates. You can get some really close up shots of the planes and the local KLM pilots often give you a wave. Weatherwise when sunny this location is probably best from early afternoon into the evening.
